The Longest Ten Minutes Of My Life

i sit in the silence and watch the clouds race by
the awkwardness fills the car.
we all know what's going on
and we all know what has passed.
i am alone with my thoughts,
the scariest place to me.
not trusting myself i shed a tear
and the car fills with sorrow.
all these problems healed
with a tear of another.
