time for joy
opening the presents
hoping for a toy

snowball fights
and sleigh rides
Christmas lights
and hot chocolate

all great things
happen on this day
but we've forgotten
what all the bible says

That's my school

Up at my school
everyone is different
yet we are treated
like an equal

everyone is always smiling
or laughing so hard
they start to cry
that's my school

a lot of people
go through my school
home of the blue jays
to cool for school

standing tall upon the hill
behind all the trees
stands the blue jay's school
yup, that's my school

Red Birds

The cards stadium is gone
and with it so many memories
our first game and ball
and our first autograph card

meeting our favorite players
and we can't forget fredbird
having our hearts soar
when we see our beloved red birds

we chant the red birds
at the beloved bush stadium
seeing and watching
the Cardinals fly

making it to the world series
with one of our final actions
trying to prove to all
the red birds wont die

Bomb Threat

sitting in class
baking some food
when we were told
to leave the school

we had to go
on to the track
away from the school
and to not look back

a bomb threat was called
into the school
who would do this
they must be a fool

they searched the school
with stomachs in knots
while we watched anxiously
as it started getting hot

Power Of Kindness

tomorrow isn't promised today
so today take full advantage
of the life you have
and the people you share it with

never take life for granted
because if you do
it just might be
the last thing you'll do

make a new friend everyday
and show the people you love
that you really do
care and love them

never go a day
without telling someone
that you love them
even if it's just your parents

Fifty Cents A Day

I am an humble Soldier
far from my friends and home,
mid scenes of war and hardships
I constantly must roam,
with many officers over me,
and them I must obey,
and do just what they tell me,
for fifty cents a day.

I enlisted in the army
to help my country's cause,
because I loved it dearly,
and would sustain its laws,
I felt a free man's duty,
his country to obey,
I came not as a hireling,
for fifty cents a day

I enlisted as a soldier.
