No Name Short

Never have I met a woman
whom finds no romance in
the bare nakedness
of sweet,
imposing
curiosity.

Fascination Number Four

The metaphoric see-saw
(up, down)
A lesser version
of a stomach churn…
Up,
down,
Like a high not far off the ground
It, makes you queasy and
Makes you sway
It, makes you force your balance and
Move in a way
You can’t control
A victory all in its own, sure…
But to bring in a sharp wind and
kiss goosebumps on your skin
To bring tears to your glistening eyes
After being so dry
Is magic,
Magic,
Music.

Peter Pan and Neverland (oldish)

Watch out
Watch as
your friends start to dissolve
cotton candy on your tongue
On which the only truths are told
Anymore
——————
Take note
Observe as
puppeteers take place behind your social stage
and make one’s hero a criminal;
who cannot be turned back
Again
——————
While their strings as entangled as their bodies,
As knotted as their drunk heads of hair
or their electric shot-up blood,
Their throats filled of smoke…

Untitled Two

Rolling and twirling slivers of pink,
frills and ambiguous contours
made rise, on their rosy
smooth feet, everyone
with an eye to behold as
those with slippers held their frames
still.
Flashes caught only pearls and glistens,
the physical,
standing high and leaping higher;
whispers caught only memories
from the ambrosia seeping from their breath
and twirling breeze.
But as silk slid smoothly, between
the elegance and admiration, between
pink and blue, rose and flesh -
light was absent,
perfume capped -
The sweet stars descended to fallen streets
and reposed while off their tip toes

Shades of Gray

She’s smart, she reads
listens to Bach and Debussy
she’s beautiful
but she’s obscene
got a circle of friends
who care, can draw and blend
well with graphite
pencil
But no matter the circumstances
no matter the enhancements
her life makes
she lets herself be selfish
feel a little worthless
cause she knows one day she’ll end,
cause she knows nothing lasts forever
that’s aside the point
It is what it is, and it is
that she’s not what she seems
she seems to think of she in vain-seeming
ways, seen in the mirror
