Shirin Sheikhi

Ludicrous vanity

Admittedly encircled
By His might
Yet we appeal
To hubris and pride

He dotes on us
Despite our disgrace, vice
Yet we cling
To revenge and malice

Unanswered Whys In My Mind

Feeling like being carried away in wind
Grasping a dandelion clock instead of wing

Looking down at the people when drift
Drowning in their own lives dreams

Following the ambitions, mere greed's
Condoning all the partial prejudice

Missing needs for consolation treats
Disregarding facts to be discreet

Frittering time to tilt at the mills
Living in the world but like to be discrete

Calling aids with no return obsolete
Losing sense for the sound of hearts when break
