A Letter to Our Baby....

To our precious unborn, I'm happy to carry you inside.
I dream of you constantly girl/boy along with your father and brother, I'll love you with great pride.
I feel you growing and the changes I'm experiencing are merely short-term journeys we'll go through together as one.
As we all await your arrival, our family has only just begun.
Your daddy, big brother, and I love you already so much.
Girl or boy you'll be fully covered and as the little princess/prince you are, you'll be treated as such.
To hear the pitter patter of your little feet running around.
You'll bring us more joy and be the permanent playmate your brother needed to hold him down.
We know you'll be as happy as we are too.
Remember mommy, daddy, and your big brother are waiting and truly love you.

Rest In Peace......

So many soldiers gone, when will this end.
It's time to realize all this makes no sense,
killing for nothing like it's not a sin.
Too many small kids losing their fathers, falling vitcims to the street.
As mothers are left crying tears of sorrow, with the devil we all compete.
Our days are truly numbered, it's time we all get straight.
Too many lives are being lost to this world of hate.
Young black men dying before seeing their babies graduate.
Like a rocket set to blow, constantly increasing our black crime rate.
Caskets flowing through churches, week after week.
Prayer warriors putting in overtime, Lord please it's you many seek.
It's time to change, no we can't erase the past.
But think about it, time as we know it is wanding up fast.
Head tilted towards heaven, praying Lord please deliver peace.
Wiping tears of sorrow thinking of all who are decease.
In paradise they'll all find love and ease to their pain.
Forever in our hearts and memories, tears for now, but soon sunshine to our rain.
