One Of A Kind
One of a kind
one sound mind
A heart so refined there's none that could compare
A treasure that's real so even by the blind seek to gaze upon it's glory
Heavenly copyright to certify originality because, with God's love you are signed
Yes it's you on my mind because
You are truly one of a kind
His word is a lamp unto thy feet
Feet that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly
Hands washed in innocence so you put them together every night you pray
Because you know His hands were pierced just for you
Your lips drip honey, words sweet to taste and good for health
Your heart remains humble and partners your soul and mind so that you may love the Lord
Indeed words describe what many have seen but what I see they fail to say
Because truly you are one of a kind
Born for a purpose so let no one define you
Chosen and anointed, called to be courageous and fearless at heart
If you doubt my words check His word

Ashlar: If a miss was as good as a mile
Surely I'd be lost in the Nile
Because here I am living in denial
Depths so deep I'd swear I lie below a pile
This file and those burdens are all but a history that hides my smile
Cassandra: If you took time to turn you would see what you miss
For a clear sky and a little rain bring a rainbow of bliss.
Only problem is that you are busy living in a rainy day's bloomer.
You never took a moment to try, held back by words of fear whispered in a hiss
If life was a fairytale I would say you are looking for peace, a spell broken only by true love's kiss
But in the clock's last tick, you took a moment for that to dismiss
Ashlar: I never thought I'd be here because to me it's just another a modern day misconception
But if this is everyone's reality, where is my ideality? ?
On the outside I'm a king looking for a queen because concubines failed to satisfy
An empty vessel on the inside, yearning for repletion.
How my eyes long to gaze upon the adornment of true beauty for it may return my joviality

Look To You
Look to you
I sit and stare but my vision is blurry
I settle down to gaze but my eyes see not what's clear
They are drowned and drenched in the tears from deep within
Tears of the pain and sorrow of my broken heart
Humpty dumpty sat on a wall, humpty dumpty had a great fall
All the kings' horses and all the kings' men couldn't put humpty back together again
Ashley's heart sat on a wall, my heart in one lifetime took a great blow
No king's horses, no kings men but you alone ohh God put it back together again
So I know even a blind man can my eyes" I'll look to you
A friend loves at all times, a brother is born for adversity
If you hear not these words, let me say it again
A friend shows their love at all time, true relatives share the troubles
But who are my friends
When the ones who claim to love me leave as soon as trouble rings the door bell
Are we related ye scribes and Pharisees when you leave me on the road to die
Or maybe my blood is linked to the "sinner' who saved me, the Samaritan who came to help me
Not because I deserve it but because God loved me
So I'll live and say "ohh God I'll look to you"

Epiphany
EPIPHANY
Looking outside I could only see the darkness approach
Looking into my life I could see my own reproach
So I thought by looking into her eyes I would see what I had
For in a moment it would all be lost.
Gone in a second, tossed away, laid to down like the dust on dry lands
I looked to my side one more time
I looked in to her eyes for the very last time.
All I wanted was to see was the beauty inside.
Life was her name, a gift I had
Life was her name, a jewel I took for granted
And there she was flashing before my eyes
I looked into my life and I saw a monster inside
With a gander, I saw the emptiness inside
A sea so great, a cup full to the brim, full of nothing but sweet delights
Delighted in a moment but never satisfied
Delights I deemed the light, pleasures that assured me treasures
But at the end of it all, just another foggy night

Hour Glass
I sit and stare
Watching as every grain falls away
I sit and stare
Asking what's there to life with every falling grain
I sit and stare
Asking what secrets lie within these sands of time
I sit, but this time I wonder
if the next falling grain brings hope to life
Clock's ticking, I sit back to relax
Sands falling, I clear my mind to hear my heart
Every minute passes me by, it's a moment to ponder
Reflections on my actions, the consequences that will seek to haunt me
But what good is this if I sit here another day
Ephemera it may be but life wasted if I regret my steps
watching as life ticks and trickles away from the grasp of man
I wish to see another day
So I sit and ask
if the next falling grain brings hope to life

Intoxicated (aka Find Me)
My eyes feel dizzy or maybe,
My eyelids just want to collapse,
Nothing makes me tipsy but this feels like it.
Could I possibly for once, be intoxicated?
I swear I only took one dose,
But I guess it hit my soul
My core enriched, I don't crave for more
My heart entangled, yet I'm not deceived
I know what I want and it's more of this
I'm not besotted, I stand sedate
Surely I have been intoxicated
I left home so I could take a walk in the park
I left home so I could sing with the birds
Momma told me to take a right
Oops I'm sorry momma I took a left
The guards told me to keep my distance
Oops I smelt the roses, I touched them and they cut me open
I smelt them again but this time they got me

Somebody Called You
Let me breathe so that you hear my voice
Let the rain fall but plead the moon to stay in place
Let each dropp sync to the rhythm of my heart
My heart beats so that you hear my song
A song of love dedicated from me to you
Dedicated from my heart and only to yours
Though two worlds apart I ask we let there be one heart in place
Not because I could use somebody like you
But because I want to be with somebody called you
Call the clouds to cover us and send a shower of blessings
Hold the hands of time so that this moment lasts
If in this a moment I dream let me dream a tale that's fair
Fairytales last forever so I'm going to love you till we see happily ever after
This is a moment I saved just for two
A moment I'll never regret
A moment I'll always cherish
Coz it's a moment that's meant to be
A lifetime loving somebody called you

Gazing Upon A Star In Memory Of Another Star
Sometimes we take moments for granted
Some days we never really appreciate the meaning of life
Somehow we never realize what it really means to spend a day with those we care about
So somewhere beyond the clouds I hope we will meet again
so that I can make it up to you for the moments we never had.
With tears flowing to tell my sorrow,
Here I am gazing upon a star in memory of another star
Clock ticked, seasons changed
Smiles came, laughter passed
Wounds would heal but scars never did
Heart still bleeding a sea of pain,
Guess the bandages can never conceal the lesion left behind
If I had one wish it's your smile on my wish list
Two words to say, I'd say them to you
But now all I can do is gaze upon a star in memory of another star
Wish I could turn back the hands of time to make the moments we never lived
But it feels like the clock stopped ticking when your heart stopped beating
I kept believing because I never wanted to start grieving

Letter From An Unborn Child
With every moment I keep on tossing and turning
Not because my heart keeps yearning for more,
But rather, because my heart is burning
From the fear of reality
I never asked to be here but if it keeps on raining
I guess I might as well keep building these walls,
Walls that trap me, for in them I hope to find protection
Because the last time I listened I heard thunder crack
Or maybe it was jus you, screaming and banging
Dear momma
I don't know how to say it so I thought I'd write you a letter
It's been 9 months long, actually let me say a ‘really long 9 months' because I ‘v been sitting in this dark corner thinking about my life and maybe that's why ct scans show me suckling on my little thumb.
Things have been going well since my conception and I really can't wait to show you how much I've grown. I got really cute small eyes, hair so smooth and beauty so true I could say I'm just like you but,1 thing really scares me because when I come out I'd never want to be like him. He raped you and shamed you yet they let him through. If the world so corrupt I never do want to come through.
Anyhow how is Amanda I heard she was born two weeks ago and her so much even though the doctor said that she would never be able to walk. And just in case you wondering how I know, I'm always listening when you gossip. I'm sorry to hear that your friend had a miscarriage but how did they expect little Ben to survive if every night momma was getting tossed, turned and thrown, being beaten by some drunkard of a man. But I guess he's smiling down on me, serving with Lilly by the King's throne up in heaven.

So Close I'll Let It Be (A Reply)
It's also everything that I dreamt of;
The bliss and joys,
The rest and best of my days
Spent in your arms of love
Close we were, but not close enough.
The moment I saw your smile
My head buzzed for a while,
How could it be that I found someone like you?
Someone so unique, so fresh and ever new.
I knew from that day that we were meant to be
Almost close, but not close enough.
I envied the way other men gave you attention,
Hated the way others strived for your affection,
We were just friends but you were beyond perfection.
The times we shared, the jokes we cracked,
The weekends we spared,
Dear I hope you know I care
We were close, but was it close enough
