Trust not the mirror
If it’s a picture of horror
And trust not the figures that smile at you.

Trust not the peer
who brings you the fear.
And Trust not the wine
that make you so fine

Trust not the games
that play with you to fame
Trust them not
If they play on you to shame

Trust not the past
nor the shadows it cast
For it disfigures fast
And ‘you’ ravishing would last
