The Day

In not so long a time
As people keep to wine and dine
It will come
For all and one

In not so unique an hour
As birds fly and lives move
It will be here
For all, from above

No more shall time be
For all to use free
No cost shall there be
Enough to see one easily free

Up in the sky

Up there in the sky
Birds fly so high
That man alone can never try
Reaching that far, even nigh

Toddlers do admire
Moving clouds in the sky
And deeply long and desire
To once fly and feel the sky

Young couples spend some time
Sharing notes on the sky’s beauty,
Its quietness, and uniqueness of its name
Thank God! He just made them so pretty

We are back

We are back
From foreign lands
Replete with temporal pleasures
Overseas, across the boarders
As heavy-hearted as we are
With our bodies zonked
Nonentities we were
Among a people heinous

We are back
To shed scars we got abroad
With Warm smiles
From fellow nationals
In this Heart of Africa
To retain our dignity
We sold for survival
And lost for good
Leaving our hopes in vain

We are back

Hope in the Lord

Fetters of discomfort may seem to settle
Fanning the embers of unease in us
That no exit is there, like in a sealed bottle
But, recall you: our Comforter is in us!

Wounds of poverty may seem incurable
Disrupting the veins of peace in our lives
That no bliss will in our hearts rumble
But, remember you: the Prince of Peace in us lives!

Blizzards of misfortune may seem eternal
Fluffing the ways of our potential bright day
That no grace on us will fall, these vibes are final
But, cheer you up: our Redeemer is the way!

Why through politics?

Why through politics
That Africa shouldn’t be stable
Only fear, torture, economic crisis and party disputes in Zimbabwe
The once half London of Africa
While riots, violence and killings in Kenya
Unmitigated disorder, food scarcity, untold sufferings in Sudan,
And lamentations, inhumanity, hatred and instability in Rwanda then,
In our one and only Africa
Where peace and freedom are needed
And unity required?

Why through politics again
That developments in Malawi shouldn’t flourish
Only political impasse, insults and greed
The once truly Warm Heart of Africa
With Unity, Discipline, Loyalty and obedience as cornerstones?

Why through politics?

I'd want to write

I’d want to write
A piece
About Zimbabwe
A country, gifted with nature,
Granted with land, fertile
In the darling continent of Africa.
How it’s economy so vibrant
Started
Wearing thin and out
All due to man, men, people
Few, yet in power
From within and outside
Black, white, dark and light.

I’d want to compose
A rhythm
For Sudan
The largest land in Africa
Where no vocabulary of peace is known
And knowledge of rights realized.
