Born to a priest
Raised by Christians
Yet she is a witch

Behaves like a Samaritan
Walks like a pageant
Talks like an angel
Yet she is evil

I wish for the first kiss

I long for that kiss
The one that cramps feet
And explode emotions
To the resounding lips
Whilst striving for perfection

I wish for that first kiss
To unfreeze my love
With such ease
And free my mind like a dove
As it floats high sky above

I wish for that kiss
That will unlock my heart
And access your soul
As in love, we find home
And put on a show

Look Not For Me

Look not for me
In the kitchen
There isn’t no food for me
Unless in an apron
Cooking for the madam
Food, I can’t dare taste

Look not for me
In the garden
There isn’t any land for me
Unless harvesting
Fruits for the farmer
Fruits I can’t dare bite

Look for me on the long queue
Heeding the ballot booth
Amidst no shelter and food
Yet casting my vote
To an unknown patron
Who I’ll soon betray my trust

The land of my forefathers
Victim of imperialism, colonialism
Wars and all social ills alike
Perpetuated by western forces
Pregnant with deceit and diseases
To cripple my Africa

Rise Africa, rise
Rise from victimhood
Rise from the Dark Continent
Rise above civil wars
Rise and open economic doors
Rise my Africa, rise

Ooh my Africa
Food parcels and UN aids
Are demeaning and degrading
In the glory of your oil and minerals
Whilst the aiders loot your riches
And encourage you to fight each other

The World Consumes Us

We invest in re-cycling
yet, fail to recycle hate for luv,
can't even undo our evil deeds

we pride ourselves as consumers but the converse is true
we are consumed by greed
the more we want
the more energy we waste
then we die, our energy lay to waste

the world consumes us, like we do to food
it breeds greed and plants hatred,
it takes from us and never give back
like loyal servants in bondage, we oblige
nothing we accumulate permanently belongs to us

as we travel for success we forget to be human
we erase creation and become creators
we are consumed by what to be than the love we should share
in our race to be consumed
