Bonfires

On a night with crisp air,
an amber glow of firelight
is rackeling and
before the wood turns to ash,
the smell of oak feels our senses.
Smokes rises up through the air
and tickles our noses.
Snuggeled up in our flannel shirts
talking with our friends
of our dreams of tomorrow
and our foolish fun of yesterday.
Sitting around a fire with
the sound of nature all around us.
Just as fire has left it's mark on the ground,
it has etched a spot in my memory.
Good friends and bon fires
is where I want to be.
Good friends and bon fires
is what I want to see.

Alone

I’m all alone
In the dark
You cant see me
Falling apart

You cant hear my lonely cries
You cant wipe away the tears from my eyes

You cant try to comprehend
The feelings that I have, the hurt my heart feels.
Theres no end.

You can't read my crying eyes
Or my heart that sets here and sighs,
Waiting for the one to try
to tell me my life is alright.

You cant cure the wounds in my mind
As I close my eyes and see the things from my live

Do not Judge me (First Poem Submitted)

As I stand before you
with the reality of the shame of my sins in my arms.
Do not judge me.
You do not know me.
You do not know the pains I have suffered,
As you look at me like I am a demon from the pits of Hell.
Do not judge me.
You do not know me.
Picture youself alone as I, needing the comfort and touch of another.
Would you not do the same?
Do not judge me.
You do not know me.
And my child has already been marked like a person with the plague.
Not given a chance,
Do not judge him,
You do not know him.
We all have sinned and it is not our job to judge,
So do not judge me.
You do not know me.

Wedding Vows Renewed (Seaside)

I vow to you as we stand beside the ocean,
that my love is never ending,
like the waves that rush to shore.
That I will nourish you until the end of time,
just as these waters are vital for living things.
That my love will always be there for you
and you can depend on me,
just as the tides are unchanging.
That my constant devotion is yours,
like the sun rises and sets upon these waters.
And I vow that even when there are troubled waters,
I will stand beside you to ride out the storm.
As our children grow, and our home becomes still,
I look forward to growing old with you.
And we can take walks on the beach,
and I will hold your hand in mine
and remember back on all the good times.
And look forward to our new adventures.
As God as my witness all these things I vow to you
I will love you until the end of time.
