Close your eyes, my angel,
For now, you will see,
The wonderful, peaceful world
That once used to be.

Close your eyes, my angel,
In that world, you will feel
Gentle hands of love and
Laughter, for wounds to heal.

Close your eyes, my angel,
Your feet will take you where
No angel has ever returned from
And no pain shall trouble you there.

So close your eyes, my angel,
Here, your memories shall remain just
For that was where you came from
And that is where you shall rest!
