History

Yesterday is History.
History brings us to this present moment
but it doesn't shape who we are at this present moment.
We can't let our History control us
and who we wish to be.
Our future is our choice,
Not History's.

Inspiration

To me your life has been an inspiration,
Happiness is mine because of you.
As a mountain shows our destination,
Never, in its grandeur, lost from view.
Know that you have been my moral guide,
You have shaped the one I am inside.
Opening my heart with your affection,
Underlying all I say and do.

Broken Heart

I really love you,
But you love someone else.
When I see you,
I can't close my eyes.
I just want you to say how much you care about me,
But you love someone else.
I just want to hear 'I love you' out of your mouth,
I hear it in my mind,
It's just like a sound.
But it's just a dream,

Do you believe in love?
Does it really matter?
When the only one you love
Has torn your heart in two.

Do you believe in love?
Can it really exist?
When you feel like the only one
Who cannot find their true love.

Do you believe in love?
When you soul is torn in two?

When it kills you in the end?

Songs of Light

Songs of light brightened our days;
Words of encouragement to pave the way;
Woven of magic, voice and musical sounds;
Faith and virtue, innocence abound;
Gods of old release unto us your favor;
The truth of the ages for all to savor;
When the night makes way to the dawn of doves;
Reveal to us the path to everlasting love.

Lost Child At Dawn

I didn't write this one but I love it very much and I can really relate to it...

Cutting the final edges
from the form.

Loose change dangles
dignity forlorn.

Stake in heart bleeds forsaken
life away.

The blade turns and drains the
soul breath away.

Angel pass overhead and branches shake
out lies.

The blade sinks in
and fifth victim dies.

Love's Light

I read this poem in a book on my IPod...

Love's light, so strong and true;
The world of chaos surrounded the two;
Paths that croosed after searching lifetimes unseen;
Two hearts interwoven as fate has deemed;
Obstacles tossed to deter their progression;
Broken sould drawn together in an endless obsession;
Purity of their feelings they long to be together;
True love is their gift to be shared as one forever.

Fear

Shadows in the dark
Keep me up awake
So i sleep with the light on
Lock the door behind you
Bolt the windows tight
Silence can be deadly
Especially at night
You scare me half to death
Bolting down the stairs
I'm so scared
But no one even cares
Noises stir at night
I jump right out of bed
Running down the stairs
Everyone is dead
I wake up from this nightmare
Drenched in cold sweat
Fearing you and everything
Is my one and only regret
