Leaving The Fog of Discontent
Leaving The Fog of Discontent
I am leaving the negative demise
I will not be a victim of one's ridicule or trophy
I will not be a subject or an object's fool
Picks up the fog to avert a peril storm
Stalling a breakdown
I am stronger now!
Leaving The Fog of Discontent
To be a strong independent woman
No more love woes
Chapters closed
Subjected poison dispelled
For I ignore to deplore
With more momentum than previously thought

Armor Of Courage
Armor Of Courage
Strength is embedded
Accomplishment
Self-definition
Re-build inner protection
Against the tyranny of Horcruxes
One's inner shield
Armor Of Courage
Thick skin developed through time
Being tough is not always the answer
Leads to aggressive and disrespect
Rudeness is exposed
As life is not all about the portrayal of toughness
Tough on the outside
Yet weak on the inside
Armor Of Courage
One who confronted danger
In times of peril

Despair Beyond Repair
Despair Beyond Repair
To eat too many lemons
I feel cold
I feel lonely
I feel abandon
I feel betrayed
I feel cursed
Despair Beyond Repair
For darkness loom
An indefinite doom
As I cannot stop thinking of troubles
Where it has indeed grown into doubles
My spirit sank into a deep abyss
Where I am not to be dismiss
That I worked hard to climb high
Yet my lively spirit recently crash low
I am broken
Despair Beyond Repair

When Life Gives You Lemons
When Life Gives You Lemons
Shopping for a lemon and honey
For money can actually buy
At a Chinatown grocery store
The lemon acidity diminish phlegm
The honey to replenish sweetness lost
In conjunction with Chamomile Green Tea
To soothe my throat from this stupid lingering cough
When Life Gives You Lemons
I throw the lemons right back
For my lashing is the acidity squirted at malicious people
Their juice from the lemon is very weak
For the acid is deflected right back
Honey, I've got a lot more sweetness should malicious people throw acid at me
Yet attempt to destroy my sunshine as my uplifting spirit continues to be envied
Have a shot of Limoncello!

When Happiness Is Contagious
When Happiness Is Contagious
Bright smiles
Comes from within
My frisky mood
Where it is noticeable by others
For Spring is finally here
That my birthday is approaching
To celebrate with DSG
Plus more
When Happiness Is Contagious
That there are no more @-HO's
I survived the biggest ordeal
Only dreams of what may possibly become
For I am not in a state of despair
As there are others in worse predicament
That I'm still alive
When Happiness Is Contagious
For I've learned not to depend on others to make me happy

Laughter and Compassion
Laughter and Compassion
Goes hand in hand
Are good medicine for the heart and mind
Not a direct problem solver but reduces stress
For I laughed at one's interpretation of POS
Of another's sarcasm
A cuddling party feels good
Laughter and Compassion
How I laughed and laughed
The laughter relaxed my body
The compassion rested my mind
Follows understanding
Without judgment
My shell broke free
Laughter and Compassion
To have compassion is to be human
During times of despair needed most
A hug

Lean On Me
Lean On Me
I was weak and intoxicated
Lost count after the fourth mixed concoction
Empowering me
A social butterfly and a lush
I bloomed into
Lean On Me
Hermione finally relaxed
Without working hard to be socially accepted
The sun shined after a gargantuan storm
I am not alone
A difficult week passed
Another one awaits with the holidays
Just another day in the year
Somehow I endured the long haul train ride home
On a eerie Sunday night
Sleeping a dreamless sleep
Nearly missing my stop
Without interruption

Focus On The Good
Focus On The Good
In a world full of negativity
As seen in everyday news
For you were unable to accept me "as is"
In those six weeks
Can you see through the thick smoke?
Are you that blind by ignorance?
Why is your pride bigger than your body?
Are your judgmental and age discrimination the reasons for your frequent break-ups?
Does it kill you to have compassion?
Is your heart always empty?
Focus On The Good
As you don't know me from an in-depth perspective
For you are not a judge who wears the cloak
You do not have the power to slam the gavel on a sounding block
To make quick complaints without understanding me
I'm a positive spirit
Lively
Care-free

Blame It On My ‘Worst Education' Or Lack of Experience?
Blame It On My ‘Worst Education' Or Lack of Experience?
So you callously stated "you have the worst education ever! "
Why can't you guard your mouth? You think so much less of me?
An educated man with your figure would not take off your clothes
You won't go to Dim Sum, oh I forgot, you have no idea what that is!

You have no idea what I just said, so how does that make you feel?
This means I am a Chinese person, did you know that?
With all your Ivy League education, Guǐ Lǎo, you can't speak to me
You've never traveled to Hong Kong or China, do you what the difference are?
You say I'm naïve, Lo Fan, but I know more than you
