Simply Living / California Grass

Fields of dark green grass
Getting sunburned in the summer.
The green turns brown, then
Bleached white gold.

The Spring brings rain;
The smell of new life
The gold turns green again
Its life seems brand new.

Grass lives so simply,
Changing with the weather.
Too bad that's not true
For people like me and you.

Simply living seems so much better
Than the way people do.
