Concrete

Concrete wraps into her legs
Bound into prison
Stripping the soul away
To the palsy of acrid air
And we ask where it all has gone...

Life dissolves into dishes
Left on silver trays
Dropped to the dogs
Surrendered to demise
Yet our stomachs rumble...

The heart is bought
With the price of romance
Yet the transaction
Never occurs
And we pass without recognition.

We plan without action
Act without thinking
