Addict
I damage my lungs
Day after day
Knowing someday
That i'll have to pay
Pay the price
For smoking them up
Carry on
And not giving up
Everyday they get weaker
It gets harder to breathe
But the power of addiction
Just won't recede
I have tried to quit
But there are penalties there too
Giving up...
Just ain't easy to do.

January Drear
January is here again
darkness, rain, wet and cold
work to be done
but the rush goes on
battling the sales shoppers
like in times of old
Back to the grindstone
the January drear
after Christmas cheer
and New Years celebrations
A tide of hangovers
weight-gain and revelations.
Peace on earth to all man kind
is what is said at Chrsitmastime
but in the new year
we lose that cheer
and become dismal
homosapian haters.

Life Through A Lens
Talking movies all the time
Life spent on a silver screen
Days spent on computer games
Living through a TV
No need to leave the house
You can do it all online
Sit on your fat arse all day
Getting bigger all the time
No need to go and socialise
Can meet new friends online
No need to get a lover
Cos cyber sex is fine
Life is getting easier
Your muscles wear away
Sitting on your arse all day
Watching your life turn grey.

Sweet September Showers
Sweet September showers,
Not quite winter yet,
Not quite Autumn either,
But Summer has definitely left.
The air contains such a chill,
Makes you shiver inside,
Yet sweet September showers,
Still in summer reside.
The night air is so frosty,
That you can see your breath.
The winds are fierce and blustery,
Don't stay out, 'You'll catch your death.'
Sweet September Showers,
Dulling the sky each day,
Delicately petalled flowers,
Fade and die away.
