Ministering under a tree in the Great Rift Plain of Africa 49 degrees Centigrade.
Under a tree not far from school class

The heat and the sun no stranger can bear
The dress code amidst it you’ll hardly believe
Unless you’re there

And the messengers with their ties look more the fool
The West long ago in their native land
Kept out the cold with clothing and grand
Then bring here to Africa
Gospel and gain
And sweaty tired minister in this great river plain
Bless us oh God
And bless our refrain
Lead all your enemies in your victory train
And bless our villages and our dear plain

The weary the burdened and sick and the restless
The ones in need of the work of The Blood
The tree would give comfort
The tree did give peace
For the tree was a planting, a working of Him
It often was seen waving and smiling
Inspired by the Breeze
Moving the branches with the greatest of ease
