Oh, Irony
Is it ironic
If a poem on irony
Contains none of it?

With each day I add

And waiting is night?

Born in an ivory tower,
He was made to build it higher.
As he stands on the scaffolding,
how long until it collapses?

Gravity (Act II)
He climbs towards the stormy sky
A storm rolling in from due West
His hammer striking in tune with
Lightning, becoming the thunder

A Child's Fragile Mind
Oh great-grandpa,
gone in a flash,
Survived three wars,
always under attack.
Fought under pressure,
never did he crack.
Gone with the wind,
and not coming back.
'Old age', they said,
as I started to cry.
'Who's next? ' I wondered
'Who's next to die? '
