Our Problemo

I wish you would reflect
On the way you deflect
my advances
I've givin you multiple chances
to show me your true
colors lady
but lately
you turned to actin a
little shady
and I cannot
see past your dark haze
I just kept
fooling myself pretending
you were just going
through a phase
talking to you was like
going through a maze
Just looking for the
answer to our problemo
but instead

Just Thinking

I was laying awake on my bed, and found that it was you in my head,
I wonder if we'll ever be more than friends,
but I hope the friendship never ends. what more can I say?
I'm tired of just thinking, when will the universe give me a break?
The bottom line is I want you,
Its reckless and wild but it doesnt mean its bad.
poetry works the same way.
I don't have to rhyme Itd be nice but the truth is what
I have to say needs to be said in plain english..

Time Line

I try to read what you wrote down
The letters are in pencil and age has made them fade
Memories follow me as I walk through town
My heart for yours was not a fair trade

I tried but maybe to much
You told me secrets and I did the same
We exchanged a gentle but rough touch
Equally to blame

In the past
I too jealous
Too fast
And over zealous

In the past
You, low self esteem
Too vast
And ripping at the seem

The School System

The school system
was not designed for us
Mexican-Americans
america is not designed for us
in school we learn
about wars, time periods this and
that
in only two colors
white and black
racism comes in many colors
its just not between white and black
its more like human to human
there is racism between every
race
and Im tired of seeing media only focus on the two
how can I be motivated as
a Mexican-American when all
I read in class is about
black and white culture and
how they clash

Noose

I abandon hope
For the mental rope
To hang my emotions
The toxic potions
Did not work
And now jealousy will lurk
In my heart
When we are apart
I don't want to be cliche
I don't want to say
How I feel
On the real
It's impossible for me
And obvious to see
If only I could write you a note
Break the social moat
Send a text
Move on to the level that is next
In another reality
Maybe

Corrupt

Hidden anger and frustration
Loss of concentration
Focus, there is none
Walking, I can't run
Son of a gun
A small Uzi
Use it to lose me
It's the only way to stop
My madness
Fight the sadness
Depression
And honorable mention
To my past
Went by too fast
Like a passing glance
Missed my chance
But it's ok
They all say
And they are the jury
Always in a hurry

Can't Judge Beauty

Truth is beauty and lies are ugly but what about the in between, can justice exist without injustice and what about the jury they say there is a little truth to every lie beauty seen in just the right light. In the eye of the beholder we can never really predict what they'll see, no one day is ever really the same, can a lie become truth in the future? an ugly duckling that will transform into a swan or will a hungry predator eat it before it can reach it's final stage. Only time will reveal eventual truths if they can survive that long if the jury finds it not guilty and the judge is not so harsh

Asleep Forever

Little boy where's your mom?
Little boy where's your dad?
Are you alone?
Don't cry.
I'm alone too.
I lost my mom and dad tambien
Come with me
We don't need them
Just like they don't need us
No, they didnt leave you.
Well, Why would they?
You seem like an ok kid
I'm sure they'll come back
But (sigh) I shall sit and wait with you
Because us lonely folk stick together that's why!
Yes that is a very scary face haha.
How's mine? (rawr)
hahaha. of course I'll be your friend
You must be tired (yawn) go to bed
I know theres not really a bed!

Truth Be Told

Truth be told
I'm not so bold
The cool breeze
Wobbly knees
When alone with you
I thought you knew
How you make me feel
I get sick, I get ill
But in the best possible way
Everything you say
Makes me fall and stumble
When I speak I mumble
I can't look directly at your eyes
I can't stand saying good byes
I think I might be in love
Feels like flying high above
May it last forever
May it never surrender
For if it does
Somehow just because,

I Know You'll Decieve

Your are far from me
out of my sight, I cannot see
Its with you I feel free
my hand in yours
a steady stream into your soul
an eternal flame or at least a hot coal
my feelings are true
how can I explain to you?
am I as cliche as I believe
because in my heart I know you'll decieve

In my head are thoughts of love
mentally I give them a shove
I try to stay distant
but feelings stay consistant
you tempt me with your looks
when you glance up from your books
What I desire- What I desire-
Your trap me behind bars
will you also give me scars?
